University of Tasmania Cradle Coast Building

A shift in traditional learning spaces and a contemporary response to academic teachings by the University of Tasmania created a new age of learning in a regional Tasmanian location.  The building brings together a mix of lecture and seminar spaces, campus administration, learning hubs, offices, wellness centre and café all rolled into a single regional campus building. Encouraging students, and staff to come together and learn from one another by sharing ideas and exchanging stories.

The fragmented façade reminiscent of the creative tectonics developed by the university centre of the arts, engages with the corporate identity of UTAS, reimaging a brand that thinks for tomorrow.  The building aims to create a campus that integrates sustainability and energy management principles, being valued for a whole new life cycle of undergraduate and postgraduate studies.
